This section will be
dedicated to individuals, places, events and stories from our past at
Osage Mission, St. Paul and Neosho County. Periodically we will add
articles that we hope will educate and entertain. Please check back.
A Year and A Day
As
volunteers at the Museum we are always willing to share the stories of
our past with visitors, but when a visitor comes in and has a part of
our history to share with us, it makes for a very special visit. This
was the case last July, as we had a visit from Steve George who had been
a "student" at the Passionist Monastery from July 1964 to July 1965.
Steve's visit brought back very special memories of that time, so we
asked if he could write about a typical day for novices at St. Paul that
we could share. We received Steve's story, last month and he is
allowing us to share it with you. Steve isn't charging for his story.
His only request is that if you enjoy the story you might consider
making a donation to the Passionist Archives. We hope the story brings
back special memories for some of you also. Please enjoy!!!
